Adventures always get the best of me

Even if they’re ones on which I don’t want to be

The anticipation of real happiness

It’s truly unique and often free

Although stressful in nature

The relief I feel gives me the vapors

Then takes them away

My stomach settles

And I make no more headway

I’ve reached my destination

If only I were here to stay
